Ultimate Durability Check (100+ Stones)

Mohs Hardness
Toughness
Stability

How to Use This Tool

This tool analyzes the three pillars of gemstone durability for over 100 stone types:

1. Hardness (Mohs Scale): Resistance to scratching. Dust is Mohs 7. Stones below 7 (Opal, Moonstone, Turquoise) will dull over time just from the air.
2. Toughness: Resistance to breaking/chipping. Diamond is hard (10) but brittle. Jade is softer (6.5) but extremely tough.
3. Stability: Resistance to chemicals and light. Pearls dissolve in vinegar. Kunzite fades in the sun.
